Bringing engaging vehicle, lifestyle, travel, and human-interest stories to life.
As the Art Director for Audi Magazine, I designed several award-winning print editions—bringing engaging vehicle, lifestyle, travel, and human-interest stories to life. I led client presentations, participated in content and editorial pitches as well as directed photoshoots.

The content and visuals in edition 110 of Audi Magazine celebrates the idea of the open road. I used road motifs like highway signage and winding freeway overpass graphics to incorporate the visual theme throughout. One of my favorite spreads in this issue is the Kids’ Space story where I designed a maze/road map from Los Angeles to NYC and highlights roadside attractions along the way.

The cover treatment features a special glow in the dark ink.

In edition 111 of Audi Magazine we featured stories about Audi Owners as well as highlighted the latest vehicle launches. The concept for the cover was to create a set of Audi enthusiast vanity license plates from all over the country. I worked with a photographer to shoot actual plates and then replaced all of the lettering with custom typefaces. The plate numbers were then embossed on the cover to give an authentic feel.

The idea for the “Art” theme of edition for 112 of Audi Magazine came from a story I pitched to create a photo essay surrounding my contemporary art pilgrimage to Japan, visiting the beautiful art islands during the Setouchi Triennale in the Kagawa Prefecture. We worked with Audi commissioned artist Matthew Schreiber who’s artwork served on the cover of edition 112. The cover is treated with a high gloss coating on the LED bulbs.

In edition 113 of Audi Magazine we explored the idea of “Icons,” and what makes Audi an iconic brand with stories about iconic people and places. The cover design is a collage showing some of the most significant figures in Audi’s iconic history including founder August Horch and world rally championship driver Michele Mouton.

Finding Frequencies with Christian Rich
We were a little bit star struck when we first met the influential producers/twin brothers Christian Rich. They’ve worked with some of the biggest names in hip hop including Pharrell, Wale, Lil Kim, J Cole et all. I captured all of the photos of the duo as we drove around Santa Monica in their Audi A5. All of my original photography was featured in both the print edition and digital versions.
